I was very excited to see all my peer-students, teachers and professors from different universities. NoVA symposiums are always great opportunities to exchange ideas with everyone. During the 3rd symposium we visited Fotografiska (Museum of Photography) and Snösätra Wall of Fame (a famous graffiti area outside the suburb Rågsved). We also discussed about our thesis plans and learnt more about research methodologies.
Department of Art’s Master students had a housewarming party of their new common study area called apARTment in 20th September Friday evening in Aalto University – School of Arts, Design and Architecture. Joanna, second year NoVA Master student, saved her memories from the party in the form of written and visual diary.
I am Hanna – doing my final year of Bachelor studies in Product Design in Estonian Academy of Arts. Despite the fact that I am studying product design, my main focus is not on physical objects. I am rather deeply interested in mixing up different subjects and fields and I see myself as the person who starts discussions and in a long run makes the change in society through design methods.
